From Vision to Action: Our LTTA Days in Madrid

We’re happy that share that we marked a pivotal moment for the MAV project as our team gathered in Madrid for the long-anticipated LTTA (Learning, Teaching and Training Activity) on May 12-13, 2025. Hosted by the welcoming Fundación Nantik Lum, this gathering transcended the typical project meeting – it represented the moment when our collective vision began its transformation from concept to reality.

A Meeting of Minds and Hearts

What made these two days in Madrid so special wasn’t just the agenda items we checked off, but the palpable energy that filled the room.

As we moved through presentations about the MAV research findings, training modules, and e-learning platform, conversations naturally deepened. We weren’t just discussing digital skills or entrepreneurship frameworks – we were talking about motherhood itself as a profound developmental experience that the professional world has long undervalued.

From Theory to Practice

The heart of our Madrid gathering was experiencing firsthand what our future participants will soon encounter. Through the “Create Your Professional VA Profile” activity, we stepped into the shoes of mothers who will soon be reimagining their professional identities through our program.

This wasn’t merely theoretical – each element we worked through represented a real challenge that mothers face when entering (or re-entering) the digital workforce. How do you articulate the value of skills gained during caregiving years? How do you establish a professional presence that honors both your expertise and your reality as a mother? These questions aren’t academic – they’re intensely personal crossroads that thousands of women navigate in isolation every day.

Looking Ahead: The Italian Pilot Program

Our time in Madrid has perfectly positioned us for the next crucial phase – the launch of our pilot programs, beginning with the comprehensive Italian implementation starting May 21, 2025. This carefully crafted program will unfold through eight live virtual workshops, creating a supportive community for mothers with children aged 0-6 as they explore new professional horizons.

The Italian pilot is structured as a comprehensive journey:

  • Beginning with an introductory session that welcomes participants to the MAV platform and philosophy
  • Followed by two workshops each on Soft Skills, Digital Skills, and Entrepreneurial Skills
  • Culminating in a powerful final workshop featuring testimonials from successful Virtual Assistants who are also mothers

Each 50-60 minute session has been designed to fit within the complex rhythms of mothers’ lives – accessible, engaging, and immediately applicable. The workshops will be led by experts who understand both the professional requirements of virtual assistance work and the unique circumstances of mothers with young children.

More Than Training

What truly energized us in Madrid was recognizing that MAV is growing into something larger than we initially imagined. It’s not just about training mothers for remote work opportunities – it’s about fundamentally shifting perceptions of motherhood in relation to professional development.

Every element of our program carries this revolutionary message: motherhood builds careers, not barriers. The patience, multitasking, crisis management, and emotional intelligence developed through parenting aren’t tangential to professional success – they’re central to it, especially in today’s increasingly remote and relationship-centered economy.

We look forward to sharing stories from our Italian pilot sessions beginning May 21st, knowing that each workshop represents another step toward a more inclusive, enlightened vision of motherhood and professional fulfillment working in harmony, not opposition.
